Astro mode: removing sky stars overlay?

Post by jlm70 »

Yesterday I tried using the Polaris to shoot the moon, Jupiter and Saturn with a Sony A7r3 and Sigma 150-600mm DG DN lens (with leveler and Peak Design travel tripod).
In astro mode I did try to calibrate the device via the Polaris star, perfectly centering it, but… it worked so-so when after I did go-to the moon. Or to Saturn.
Is it possible to re-center/calibrate on the new star/planet to perfect the positioning?

Moreover I do not know HOW TO REMOVE the stars overlay to my current astro-mode view... I mean: I pointed to Jupiter with my 600mm… moved with the joysticks to center it, but with the stars overlay on… it was impossible to focus the planet “at best”.
I had to go back to photo-mode so to be able to see only "my sky" and try focusing better. Therefore losing the tracking.
Main equipment:
Benro Polaris Astro version (wifi).
Sony A7rIII. Main used lenses for astro: Sony FE 16-35/2.8 GM, Sigma 150-600 DG DN Sport
Tripod: Peak Design travel carbon.
