Polaris Astro will not calibrate properly
Polaris Astro will not calibrate properly
I can't get the Polaris Astroto come close to finding a calibration star, and then when I use the Polaris joysticks to center and calibrate, the next choice, be it star or planet, is way off. This happened whether I use a Canon d6 or my D5MKIV. The other features seems to work, as in photo or panorama, Just Auto calibration and Go To are off. Why?

Re: Polaris Astro will not calibrate properly
Two things you need to be very precise about:
- Level. Ensure the tripod head you have the Polaris on is 100% level in all directions.
- Calibration. Ensure your phones compass is calibrated, no magnetic (e.g. Apple watch) or big metal objects (e.g. car) are nearby and you align you phone paralell to the Polaris. (Most phones have buttons on the side which already can introduce an error)
